Building Dreams Foundation Donates $130,000 to Local Charities Following Successful Golf Scramble

Participants prepare for the Third Annual Building Dreams Foundation golf scramble. Held last October at Quail West Golf & Country Club, the event raised $130,000 for local charitable organizations.

The Building Dreams Foundation officials today announced donations totaling $130,000 to numerous Southwest Florida charities following its successful third annual golf scramble, held Oct. 17, 2024, at Quail West Golf & Country Club.

The foundation, established by Diamond Custom Homes in 2020, remains committed to supporting organizations that promote educational opportunities, affordable housing and community well-being throughout Southwest Florida. Funds raised through the annual golf tournament and generous contributions from sponsors and participants have been distributed to Ground Up Ministries, Habitat for Humanity Collier County, Harry Chapin Food Bank, the Holocaust Museum and Cohen Education Center, Hope Clubhouse of SWFL Inc., the 2025 Chubb Classic, Red Cross Hurricane Helene and Milton Relief, the Shelter for Abused Women & Children, Teen Challenge Ft. Myers and Valerie’s House.

“The success of our third annual golf event underscores our community’s dedication to giving back and supporting crucial initiatives in Southwest Florida,” said Michael Diamond, president of Diamond Custom Homes. “Through the Building Dreams Foundation, we support local charities that make a lasting difference in people’s lives. The participation from our sponsors, golfers and volunteers demonstrates the powerful impact we can achieve when our community unites behind meaningful causes. As we look ahead, we remain dedicated to expanding our reach and fostering positive change across Collier and Lee counties.”

Since its inception, the Building Dreams Foundation has raised more than $280,000 to aid organizations addressing critical needs in Collier and Lee counties. The Third Annual Golf Scramble played a pivotal role in this year’s fundraising success, bringing together golfers, sponsors and philanthropists for a day of friendly competition and charitable giving.

“We look forward to growing the Building Dreams Foundation’s impact and invite our local business community to participate in future events,” Diamond added. To support BDF’s mission or learn more about its initiatives, visit buildingdreamsfoundation.org.
